Sluggish Saturday

Omg omg. Im feeling draggy and sluggish to go to school today. Woke up at 530, prepared nasi lemak. Watched ustaz Don a bit. Then do the laundry. Am feeling productive to do the housework. But not going to school. Though I have 4 STACKS of books to be marked, paper works, and a table to be organized. Haih. After bath, I had problem to mix and match my Saturday outfit. Skirts is print. So does blouse. Three quarter sleeve. Have to wear a cardigan. Found purple plain one. From poplook. Then I just cannot find a plain black instant hijab. So I am wearing the polka dot one. What a mess. Sometimes, I wish I can stay at home just like other government servants. But yeah, every weekday I go back earlier than other government servant. Sluggish Saturday. And it’s cloudy and drizzling. *sigh*

10 online shopping sites hijabistas should know

Radiusite (Shawl)–Siapa tak kenal website ni. Pantang letak tudung je, sehari dua terus sold out. Penaja utama tudung Akak Sheila Rusli dan beberapa drama tempatan. Memang sekarang ni banyak nampak nama dia kat kredit hujung drama. Suratkhabar dah beberapa kali feature Radiusite. Memang kelass. You guys can never find the same tudung from any other boutique. Her design is creative and fresh. Very prompt reply and delivery.

Sugarscarf (Instant Hijab)-This is my favourite online site. Sangat cantik design tudung dia. I love lycra fabric. Easy for me as a mother and who is a lazy bum bab iron mengiron. Awning banyak pakai thai silk or shantung. Buy 3 for Rm100. Kalau orang tanya soalan “Beli tudung kat mana?” Memang kene promote laa blogshop ni. Blogshop yang ni pun cepat sold out.

Thepoplook (Apparels and accessories)–Ni lagi satu website yang banyak amat follower. Laju je jualan dia. The price for a simple chic design nampak mahal but actually it’s worth the quality. Kain skirt dia memang tebal. Senang la kerja orang  malas nak cuci tangan macam eyekneekawai. Ehehe. Jadi mak memang kena banyak curi masa.

buttonmybuttons (Apparels and jewellery)–Ya ampun! Kalau tak tau online shop n memang la. I am a fan of bow and ribbons. Featuring many local artists such as Yasmin Hani, Tiz Zakiyah, Neelofa and Marsha AF. Ramai artis jadi client dan model. Her beautiful wedding dress for Natasha Hudson had wowed the crowd. Banyak lagi peluang bagi anda yang nak merasa design Shahida Shariff (the owner). Shahida is a rising star.

Hana Tajima Maysaa (Fashion apparel)-She is an icon who has created a new wave of muslimah fashionista. Sometimes Maysaa has promotion for Malaysian delivery. Cool huh?

Selalu sold out. Banyak kali menghiasi majalah tempatan.

I told you so, she's super cute!

Old Blossom Box–The petite designer yang pernah muncul dalam realiti TV Malaysian Project Runway (First and the only season), berani bergaya dengan kasut tumit tinggi dan gaya hijab yang menarik. Design bajunya sangat comel, ada sesetengah fabrik diimport. Juga banyak menggunakan bow dan pastel colour. Butik Jezmine Zaidan kini dibuka di Shah Alam raya collection menanti kedatangan anda!

Pastelina

Pastelina (Apparels) Design dia memang sangat cute. Sebab cepat sangat sold out. Tapi sekarang sorang tu tengah busy dengan her pregnancy. So to merge the brainy idea of both, tunggu je la dulu.

Iamjetfuelshop (Apparels and scarf) Siapa tak kenal Yuna Zarai, artis Malaysia yang kini melebarkan sayapnya di US. She’s an icon of hijabista and I could not leave her from this list. The designs are fresh, funky and very chic. So, what are you waiting for?

Semua online shopping sites yang telah disenaraikan di sini dipilih berdasarkan popularitinya, rating user, customers feedback and the appearance in public media. Air yang bersih

Sepatutnya post ni diterbitkan pada 15 Oktober. Namun sebab banyak hal sekolah belum sempat siap, maka bila pulang lambat, lepak lalu tiada kesempatan berblog.

Air, anugerah tuhan yang tidak ternilai. Bagaimana kita nak berwuduk kalau tiada air?

Setiap hari kena minum air.

Bila aku nasihatkan murid-murid aku, mereka kata “malulah cikgu”.

Selangor berikan bekalan air bersih percuma.

Bersihkan sungai, bersihkan lautan, amalkan ketelusan.

Air untuk kehidupan.

I am annoyed by WP 2.7

I can’t use the word “hate”. But yeah, I know I always use that word indeliberately. My bf is an expert about “my” linguistic. It’s my term of endearment. You know, like “I am so annoyed by you but I don’t want to get angry because I love you”  kinda thing.

Oh. About WP 2.7. Apparently, WP developers improvethe dashboard in terms of organization. But heck, it’s even messier now. It’s a bit difficult to focus to write using WP 2.7 (ADHD people knows how annoying a clustered blog dashboard is! ) and this make me feel like blogging with Facebook’s note.

Right, I know it’s a bit better than 2.6.5. It’s widgetized. Drag and drop yada yada. The plugins have updated automatically but hey, I think they are too busy fixing nitty gritty stuff to the extent they are so disorganized and have messed up with the dashboard.  3 columns and too many boxes at the same time??

Let me explain my situation here. I am having difficult time not to look at my monitor screen to much or I’ll be distracted from writing this post. Thus, I typeby looking at the keyboard *bowing my head* and I’ll correct my typo letter. It’s kinda, I am looking at the keyboard and not synchronizing my eyes with the monitor. It’s so hard to focus with WP 2.7!

Alright, let me get this thing out of my chest. I love WP before this but 2.7 makes me feel like urgh!!! Geramnya!! Before this, I love you because of your simplicity but now, you’re as complex as women.

Oh, it’s not just me. This entry somehow explains the bad side of WP 2.7 in a subtle way. Oh, they’ve discuss about it in this forum as well. Sorry if I’ve spoiled your Christmas, WP!

Malaysian Dreamgirl 2

The opportunity to be a model is back again. The one that made Hanis Zalikha famous. Ehehehe. Well, last time I don’t like the jury (Sazzy Falak). Luckily in the second season, she’s not in anymore. Oh, the last season’s contestant, had made the show became Malaysian Dreamgirlbitch. Aih. It’s all about winning a Latio and money.

Well friends, if you think you are cun giler and have what it takes to be a model (tall, slim, slender, blah3), so go to a walk-in auditions in: Continue reading

Halloween costumes

Nuffnang Nokia Silent Halloween is coming up, so I’m writing what to wear for the Halloween party.

Sarah Palin has created a fashion craze in the US. Everyone wants to have her spectacles and wigs. But to have her costume this Halloween, Abraham Issa (the owner of Buffalo Breath Costumes) commented “Everyone is asking for her, but she came into the picture too late, so no one had time to make the mask,” Issa said. “You have to do glasses and a wig.”

Fashionably kind

Today is blog action day. Bloggers will talk about poverty and ways to reduce it. I am jumping into the bandwagon (of bloggers) who would like to help with the world crisis. Enough of the talk, here’s what we can do to reduce poverty, locally and globally.

Donation or charity night is a glamourous act, to raise fund to curb poverty. But what if you can’t do one?

  1. Organize your wardrobe. Labels them to: keep, donate and sell (sounds like ‘Sex and The City‘ scene huh?). Now, to keep labels, is meant to be in your wardrobe. To donate: is to be given away to orphanage or charity home. To sell: If you have quite a good collection of designer’s clothes, sell them online and give away the money to charity organizations like TV3 or  Aman Palestin.
  2. Post an entry about poverty, during Blog Action Day (that is today, 15th October). Give suggestions how to reduce poverty and help poor people around you. Like, what I’m doing now. You can adapt the way you write it, according to your blog style.
  3. If you can’t adopt children from 3rd world country like Angelina Jolie, why not adopt a pet (like Samantha). SPCA has a lot of animals to be adopted. Great good deed starts with a small good deed, innit?
  4. Think of children who are motherless due to breast cancer. Before it happens, try as much as we can to prevent the problem (breast cancer). October is a month for Breast Cancer Awareness (Pink Ribbon). Estee Lauder promotes about it by showering KL tower with pink lights. Me? I wear pink ribbon and spread ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ message by posting entry about it in my blog. By supporting Pink Ribbon day, it will fund economically-challenged breast cancer patients. It is some way to help poverty, innit?
  5. Do small good deeds. After all, when you do good, you will feel good. There are quite a number of poor people in Malaysia. So, help them by giving them shelter, money and clothes. 1901 hotdog kiosk is looking for volunteers to help them to distribute foods for homeless people around KL. Join 1901 and show your concern towards poverty. It is time to show how human we are.

After all, kindness is always fashionable.
